At Energy Fitness, we provide the premiere fitness experience for each and every member. We are looking for a team member who has a positive attitude and enjoys working in an energetic, team oriented environment. As a Customer Service Representative, you are the face of the club and the first staff member to interact with members when they arrive to Energy Fitness. You must possess excellent interpersonal skills that allow you to develop a comfortable relationship with the members, promoting open dialogue and creating a unique fitness experience.
Responsibilities:
•Assist members with scheduling their 1-1 Coaching sessions, and Signature Studio Classes
•Ensure that members check in when arriving to the facility, while monitoring status of memberships and training programs

•Provide guests with basic information of the club and services, assist with membership sales, and giving tours to prospective members
•Act as a liaison between members and management
•Maintain the cleanliness and order of the front desk area as well as the club
•Execute the Opening and/or Closing Procedures for the club
Objectives:
•Increase participation in ancillary service: Personal Training, Group Classes, Challenges/Events, etc.
•Assist members with service recommendations and routine development
•Provide outstanding level of customer service to all members and guests
•Collaborate with Energy Team as needed to maximize opportunities
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
•Strong verbal and written communication; interpersonal, critical thinking, and multi-tasking skills required
•Possess strong organizational skills, and have a passion for health and fitness.
•Broad knowledge and experience in the Fitness industry strongly preferred
Position Requirements:
•Full and part time positions available
•Morning, evening and weekend hours will be required as necessary
Compensation: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

There was a glaring gap in the fitness industry at that time. People had a choice between two options, neither of which were very good. Big box gyms were uncomfortable, impersonal, and tended to attract a clientele that made newcomers feel intimidated. One-dimensional boutique studios offered only one cookie-cutter workout, which works for a certain amount of time, but people begin to fall off track without variety to keep them engaged.
Michael studied Mechanical Engineering at Cornell, but back home on Long Island, he decided to pursue something that felt more fun and authentic. Partnering with Trevor and longtime friend, Mike Fox, Michael bought the first gym that would introduce an industry disrupting fitness model.
After operating out of existing gyms for the first several years, they were finally able to build their 10,000-square-foot dream facility from scratch. The flagship Energy Fitness location opened in 2011, and two more followed soon after. The clubs, concept, and community grew from one main philosophy: everyone needs a coach to succeed on their fitness journey.
Now with five locations and growing, Energy Fitness is the only fitness experience of its kind. Our focus is on creating a culture, team, and model of accountability that gives our clients exactly what they need to stay motivated and achieve through all the ups and downs of their health journey.
